Passages From Chapter Nine
CHAPTER NINE
At this point in the story Malachy (the father) has gone to England to help fight the war.
He said he was going to send the rest of the family money.
He never did.
Now Angela had to go ask for public assistance.
Passages From Chapter Eight
CHAPTER EIGHT
The passage from page 215 really got to me.
When they killed the horse, Malachy was really upset.
This showed that even though they were poor, they still knew the difference between life and death and right and wrong.
Passage From Chapter Seven
CHAPTER SEVEN
I found this passage kind of sad.
Mickey was looking foward to his sister dying so he could miss school and get money.
I would never want one of my siblings to die.
Did anyone else feel this way?
Passages From Chapter Six
CHAPTER SIX
Frank and his friends have just stole some apples and drank some milk from a farm.
I found this kind on funny, since they ran away when the farmer caught them.
Did anyone else find this funny?
Passages From Chapter Three
CHAPTER THREE
At this point the McCourt's have moved back to Ireland.
What do you think about these passages?
