This is a picture of Paddy Clohessy, Frank's friend, whose family doesn't have enough money to even buy him shoes. He's obviously dirty and his clothes are old and worn-out. I feel really bad for him, because his whole family lives in a small, crowded apartment, and his father is dying of lung cancer. Yet all he wants to do is travel to India and live in "paradise".
What do you think about him? Anything that you found amusing, sad, etc.
I feel sorry for Paddy and his family. His poor father is dying and his mother can't support his family. I can understand why he would want to travel to India and live in "paradise". He has never had anything and he wants to live like a king. He thinks India would be different and he would have more, but I don't thin any place at this time period would be much different.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anastasia, I feel really bad for him and his family due to the circumstances they are going through. Its pretty clear why he would want to travel to India and live in paradise beacuse its no paradise for him right now.. Also, I think He is a good kid, but I just feel sorry for him and his family.
